LIFELINE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

LIFELINE

Zirrus is pleased to offer Lifeline, a program that provides discounted telephone or broadband service to eligible customers.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Lifeline is federal program that lowers the monthly cost of phone or internet service, dedicated to making phone and internet service more affordable for low-income households. Customers must be eligible to receive the program’s benefits and are allowed one Lifeline discount per household.

ELIGIBILITY

The Lifeline program is available to customers who have an income at or below 135% of federal poverty guidelines, or who participate in one of the following assistance programs:

  • Medicaid
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance
  • Veterans Pension or Survivors Benefit Programs

Documentation of one of these programs is required for enrollment in Lifeline. Lifeline is offered to qualified customers on any Zirrus residential voice plan or qualifying broadband plan service.

QUALIFYING VOICE SERVICE

Customer is provided a Voice only service that meets the minimum service standards - $5.25 credit per month.

QUALIFYING BROADBAND SERVICE

Customer is provided a Broadband only service that meets the minimum service standards - $9.25 credit per month.

All customers must apply for Lifeline through the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC). The USAC site guides you through eligibility and application. After the USAC qualification has been completed, notify Zirrus with your confirmation number to get the discount added to your qualifying service.
